Philosophy of Care
Scheduling & Appointment Policy
To maintain our philosophy of "One Patient at a Time," we carefully schedule our appointments to ensure that you never feel rushed and that Dr. Pritchett has dedicated, uninterrupted time to focus on you.
Dedicated Time
We do not double-book or rush our surgical cases. Because of this, we request that you arrive on time for your scheduled visit.
Cancellations
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so we can offer that dedicated time to another patient in need.
Surgical Day Appointments
Major surgical procedures are usually scheduled in the morning. If you are having IV sedation or general anesthesia, you must have a responsible adult driver accompany you, remain in the office during your procedure, and drive you home.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
Yes, as a surgical-only practice, we work closely with your dentist or general provider to ensure coordinated care. Please bring your referral slip to your first visit.
Will my procedure be done on the same day as my consultation?
Typically, your first visit is a consultation only. This allows us to safely review your medical history, perform necessary 3D imaging, and plan your anesthesia. Same-day surgery is generally reserved for urgent or emergency situations, or minor procedures under local anesthesia.
What if I have an emergency after hours?
Dr. Pritchett is committed to your safety around the clock. If you experience an urgent issue or emergency after hours, please call our main office number at (706) 946-5015 for instructions on how to reach the on-call doctor.
