Surgical Care within Your Reach: Financing & Insurance

Clear, transparent financial options designed to make your oral surgery experience peaceful and stress-free.

At Cherry Log Oral Surgery, we believe that clear, transparent communication is key to a stress-free experience. Our goal is to ensure you feel completely informed and supported—not just clinically, but financially.

We understand that medical and dental insurance can be complex, which is why our dedicated team provides personalized guidance, comprehensive line-by-line cost estimates, and direct claim filing to help you navigate your coverage with absolute clarity. We operate under our unhurried, "One Patient at a Time" philosophy so that you never feel rushed at any stage of your journey.

01 / Protection & Care

Our Insurance Policy & Out-of-Network Advocacy

To ensure we can provide the highest standard of oral surgical care without artificial limitations on your treatment time or surgical materials, Cherry Log Oral Surgery operates as a specialized, surgical-only practice.

Out-of-Network Advocacy

While we are out-of-network with all commercial medical and dental plans, this allows Dr. Pritchett to maintain our "One Patient at a Time" philosophy—guaranteeing his undivided attention. We do not let insurance restrictions compromise your safety, technology, or clinical outcomes.

We File Claims for You

Being out-of-network does not mean you are on your own. We happily prepare and submit all dental and medical insurance claims on your behalf, along with all necessary clinical documentation, 3D CBCT imaging, and narrative reports to help maximize your reimbursement.

Upfront Estimates

No surprises, no hidden fees. Before scheduling your surgery, we provide a detailed, line-by-line estimate of your procedural fees, projected insurance coverage, and your estimated out-of-pocket responsibility.

02 / Financial Methods

Flexible Payment Options

We accept several convenient payment methods to cover your out-of-pocket costs on the day of your surgical procedure:

Cash & Personal Checks

We accept cash payments and personal checks on the day of your consultation or scheduled surgical appointment.

Major Credit Cards

We accept all major commercial credit card networks, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

03 / Simple Solutions

Third-Party Patient Financing through CareCredit, Cherry & Proceed Finance

To help make necessary surgical treatments fit comfortably into your family budget, we partner with three trusted patient financing companies: CareCredit, Cherry, and Proceed Finance.

Each lets you pay for your oral surgery over time with manageable monthly payments. This lets you move forward with required clinical care when you need it, rather than putting off treatments due to upfront surgical fees.

04 / Helpful Q&A

Financial Frequently Asked Questions

When is payment for my surgery due?

Your estimated out-of-pocket portion (copay, deductible, or non-covered services) is due in full at the time of your surgery. If we are unable to verify your insurance benefits beforehand, full payment will be requested, and we will reimburse you directly once your insurance claim is processed.

Why does a surgical-only practice choose to be out-of-network?

Being out-of-network prevents insurance companies from dictating how much time Dr. Pritchett spends with you, which surgical materials we use, or how we plan your anesthesia. This preserves our mountain-retreat care model, giving you dedicated, safer, and unhurried surgical expertise.

Will my medical insurance cover any part of my oral surgery?

Certain surgical procedures—such as wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, biopsies, or jaw reconstruction—may be covered under medical insurance instead of, or in addition to, dental insurance. Our billing experts will analyze both your medical and dental benefits to optimize your coverage.

What if my actual insurance reimbursement is different from the estimate?

Because insurance benefits are determined solely by your provider, estimates are not a guarantee of payment. If your insurance company pays more than estimated, we will issue a prompt refund to you. If they pay less, you will receive a statement for the remaining balance.
